SJ Johnson is a California native who has enjoyed living in the San Francisco Bay Area, witnessing the technology boom, city expansion, as well as new home and commercial construction. A graduate of San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Architectural Design, SJ began her career as an Interior Designer and Project Manager before launching her own space-planning consultancy, Interior Design Resources.

With over 18 years of experience in facilities planning, project management, and real estate, SJ creates new beginnings for her clients. As a trusted advisor, she guides individuals and businesses through major transitions—whether finding the perfect home or the right commercial space to grow.

Her clients benefit from her unique blend of design and real estate expertise. In commercial real estate, SJ specializes in helping businesses lease, buy, or sell retail, office, and warehouse properties across the Bay Area. Her background in interior design and project management allows her to provide conceptual space planning, advise on tenant improvements, and help clients visualize the full potential of a space before committing. Whether working with startups opening their first storefront or seasoned investors expanding their portfolio, SJ offers strategic guidance tailored to her clients’ goals.

On the residential side, SJ curates a portfolio of homes to tour, negotiates strongly on behalf of her clients, and adds her personal touch to ensure each listing shines. From staging insights to hands-on enhancements—like personally designing a front entrance to maximize curb appeal—she goes the extra mile to make every property stand out.

Outside of real estate, SJ continues to create custom cakes, enjoys family excursions, and has recently taken up artisan soap making. She serves clients throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, and Santa Clara counties and looks forward to being a resource for you, your friends, or your family.
